The Power Of Self – Definition

Life beyond ‘He Loves Me? He Loves Me Not?’ Event.

After 30+ years of dead ends, heartbreaks, and disappointment, there comes a moment when you have to ask yourself — when is enough truly enough?

After surviving trauma, betrayal, health challenges, broken promises, mind games, financial strain, and deep shame, at what point do you finally recognise that the childhood fairy-tale you built around a man may not be coming to life — not now, and maybe not ever?

How many times will you sit and listen to him praise someone else, while you’re still standing by, hoping the story will shift in your favour?

Sis, it’s time to create a new identity.
It’s time to build a new routine, start a new career path, and rewrite your narrative.

Because the truth is — too often, our black men will hand over their platforms, power, and respect to outside influences long before they honour their own mothers or their fellow black women. And they mean it.

He’ll look you in the face, wanting to hear “you’re handsome,” while you’re thinking — “I’m almost 40, I could sure do with a wedding ring.”
Say it. Out loud.
And watch how fast he runs.

So, book that flight. Take that vacation.
Purchase that property. Build that investment plan.
And most importantly — find yourself again.

Understand this: with what lies ahead, you don’t just need to survive heartbreak or manipulation — you need a LIFE PLAN.

Even social media will sell you the illusion of perfection. Don’t buy into it.
Get your independence in order.

You deserve a life that’s yours — not one defined by waiting on love that doesn’t show up.
